Background, Strategy and Mission

Alba Consulting Limited was founded in order to answer the growing demand from corporate medical and security clients for high quality, cost effective, fast response, medical and security evacuation aviation capability.

Our aircraft resources have been extensively developed using many operators which had worked with Alba staff, before, during and after 9/11 atrocity. As a result of this act, clients started to question the crew composition for evacuation flights. This situation hadn't arisen before and required new procedures to be put in place to allay client concern.

Aircraft subsequently used for evacuation purposes were able to meet the new requirements, but this was to have a much greater impact than expected. It meant that much more care would need to be taken by clients in the aircraft resources used as a duty of care not only to clients but also their own staff. Alba determined that the best way for this to be implemented would be to commence with aircraft provider audits as a means of undertaking that duty of care, but also to give our clients peace of mind that sufficient preparation would take place before an event to ensure the right resources and plan would be in place to help in reducing the risk to their safety.

Risk can never be fully eliminated, it can however be significantly reduced such as to allow for good risk management under such circumstances.

It was as a result of this approach that it quickly became obvious, the options for civilian evacuation, from not only Iraq and Afghanistan was limited, but the entire Middle East region.

Our mission then became clear that we needed to source high quality aircraft capability to cover all eventualities and to this day, our intention has always been to prevent the nightmare evacuation scenario from occurring. Part of our process is to undertake regular evacuation test scenarios to ensure that our procedures meet client expectations and needs.
